Description
The morning will begin at 10.00 am with a briefing from your walk leader about the walk which will take you along the picturesque riverside of the Cuckmere River, the rolling hills of the Seven Sisters chalk cliff tops, depending on your pace and fitness. We always aim to provide a walk that is enjoyable but if you’re up for a challenge we can cater for that too! We aim to walk from 90 minutes to 2.5 hours depending on your fitness level.
You will complete your walk with refreshments – either at a pub or a café depending on the location of the end of the walk. You will then be transported to a Sussex pub lunch with local produce and then on to one of many of the local vineyards for your ‘vine to wine’ experience. You will meet the winemaker and can ask as many questions as you like! You will then have tutored wine tasting of up to 4 wines made at the vineyard.
Following the wine tasting you will have the chance to purchase bottles if you wish and then you will be transported back to the starting point of your day. We will aim to return you to the starting point by 6.00pm.
Additional Information
Please let us know when you book what your fitness level is so that we can tailor the walk accordingly. You should wear stout footwear: walking boots or shoes preferably but trainers are fine – no high heels or flip flops! Please also bring a back pack and a waterproof jacket (just in case), a bottle of water and perhaps a biscuit just to keep you going! All our walk leaders are first aid trained but if you have a health condition (e.g. diabetes) we do need to know.
Please let us know about any dietary requirements as we can accommodate these, however we are dependent on our partners own dietary know-how. If you have a strong allergy, please make sure we are aware.
If you have any questions, please get in touch.
