Description
We start the walk at the pretty village of East Dean where you will meet your walk leader. This is a 6-7 mile walk taking 2.5 hours and is through Friston Forest where you may encounter wildlife such as deer. Your walk leader will explain some of the history of the area and about the formation of the South Downs. You will end the walk at the hamlet of Littlington where you will be able to have refreshments at the Plough & Harrow village pub. From there you will be transported to your lunch venue of Sussex produce at a traditional Sussex pub and then on to one of the 19 vineyards in Sussex for a ‘vine to wine’ experience. You will meet the winemaker and have the chance to ask as many questions as you like! You will then be able to taste up to 4 wines produced at the vineyard and purchase any if you should wish to do so.
