Description
Probably our most challenging but arguable our most spectacular walk! We start at The Tiger Inn at East Dean and cover the 7 miles to the Cuckmere River estuary in around 2.5 hours. There are some steep ups and downs on this route so fitness is a key element! Once you have mastered the walk you will be met and transported to your lunch spot for well deserved refreshments and a local produce lunch.
Afterwards you will be taken to an award-winning vineyard for a ‘vine to wine’ experience including discovering how the wine is produced and then tasting the product. You are free to ask as many questions as you like and to purchase the wine from the vineyard too if you wish.
You will be transported back to your starting point at the end of the day.
Additional Information
This walk is for the fittest! You will need to be able to manage steep inclines as well as steep declines and the pathways can sometimes be rough. It is imperative that all walkers keep well away from the cliff edge as there are no fences and land slips can happen. Your walk guide will provide all the information you need to enjoy this walk as the views are stunning. Please make sure you wear stout walking shoes or boots and bring a jacket as the clifftops can be windy – even on the hottest of days. We suggest you bring a small back pack and a bottle of water, and a biscuit to keep you going.
Please make us aware of any health conditions and dietary requirements. If you are not a strong walker we suggest you choose a different option.
