Seven Sisters Iconic Walk and Wine Tour

After being picked up, the walk starts at The Observatory Science Centre where we will be doing and easy 1 hour walk around the Herstmonceux Castle. From here we will be going to a country pub for a classic lunch and glass of your favourite beverage. Then we head to an English vineyard for a tour and tasting of between 4-5 wines. After the tour and tasting we will travel back to the pick-up point. While the walk is relatively easy, appropriate footwear is advised as we go through farmlands.

This walk begins at The Alfriston Hotel, where you’ll set off on a 1 hr 30 min walk. The walk climbs onto the South Downs, offering sweeping views over the Rathfinny Vineyard and across to the English Channel. You’ll follow the vineyard’s contours before returning to Alfriston along the peaceful banks of the Cuckmere River. After the walk, enjoy refreshments before being taken to a traditional Sussex pub for a lunch featuring local produce. The afternoon continues with a visit to an award-winning vineyard for a guided “vine to wine” tour, including a tasting of up to four wines and the opportunity to ask questions and purchase bottles. Transport back to the starting point is included. Sturdy footwear and suitable outdoor clothing are recommended.

We will bypass the walk and head straight for the English vineyards with this fizz filled day. We will create an itinerary which includes two vineyards and a pub lunch in-between. This is a great winter option as avoids too much time in the unpredictable weather!
